Ballarat Support Services was established in 2022 and is composed of a closely bonded team of skilled and experienced disability support workers. Beyond our professional collaboration, we share a longstanding friendship that spans several years. Together, our main goal is to provide exceptional and top-notch services to our valued clients.

Our comprehensive range of supports includes:

In-Home Support & Community Participation: We offer personalized assistance within the comfort of individuals' homes, as well as support to engage and participate in community activities.

Weekend Activity Program: We organize and facilitate a vibrant and engaging program filled with various activities and events for participants to enjoy during the weekends.

Day Program: Our Tuesday Program is aimed at getting participants out and about in the community, developing skills for everyday life, and fostering long-lasting friendships with like-minded individuals.

Respite Holiday Program: Our respite holiday program provides individuals with the opportunity to take a break and enjoy a well-deserved vacation while being supported by our dedicated team.

Youth Program: We offer a tailored program for disabled youth, aged under 18, focusing on their socialization, enjoyment, skill development, and inclusive environment. Our dedicated team empowers participants to connect, grow, and pursue their interests while fostering meaningful relationships and personal growth.

School Holiday Program: Offering inclusive and engaging activities for participants aged 5-18 during school holidays. Our program is designed to cater to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring a supportive and enjoyable experience for all.

Chris Jew

Director

As the Director of Ballarat Support Services, I have twelve years of experience in the disability sector, which has fueled my passion for helping people. I strongly advocate for freedom of choice and prioritize working collaboratively with clients to support them in achieving their goals. My aim is to create a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered and heard. Together with my dedicated team, we are committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

Shae Ellis

Participant Coordinator

For the past seven years, Shae has dedicated her career to the support field, focusing on High Physical Support homes and Day Programs in both Ballarat and Queensland. Throughout her journey, Shae has consistently demonstrated a strong passion for empowering individuals, assisting them in reaching their goals, and fostering their independence.

Having spent several years working together at a disability provider in Ballarat, Shae and Chris have developed a strong professional bond, which has enabled them to establish a unique and unparalleled level of support.

Matt Lange

HR Manager

Matt, who has been with Ballarat Support Services for the past two years, now serves as both the HR Manager and the Complaints and Feedback Manager. Additionally, he manages our high-intensity clients. Matt continues to bring his easy-going nature and dedicated approach to his role, excelling at building positive relationships with all participants and fostering a supportive environment.

With a strong passion for making a difference in people's lives, Matt has long been committed to the disability sector. His compassionate and empathetic approach helps him understand the unique needs and aspirations of each individual. By establishing trust and connections, he empowers participants on their journey toward growth and independence.

As a valued team member, Matt is enthusiastic about collaborating with colleagues to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. His goal remains to contribute to positive outcomes and enhance the lives of those he supports.
