Ballarat Support Services is a family-run, NDIS-registered disability support provider β built to deliver personal, professional support across Ballarat, with real specialty in complex needs.
Ballarat Support Services was founded by Christopher Jew to do one thing well: support participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern with the training, consistency, and structured environments that work actually requires.
What started as a small team has grown into one of Ballarat's most trusted NDIS providers β 26 dedicated staff delivering more than 1,400 hours of support every fortnight. Our head office and purpose-built High Intensity Hub are at 901b La Trobe Street, Delacombe, with Gleno Court Day Program and Respite opening mid-2026.
But the scale isn't the story. The story is every participant we support β their goals, their routines, their families, their wins. Especially the participants who need a provider with real experience and real staying power.
Every support plan starts with what matters to the person β not what's easy for the provider. Goals, routines, preferences, boundaries: they lead, we follow.
We don't hide behind generic progress updates or inspirational language. Families and coordinators get honest, detailed reporting β the good days and the hard ones.
Incidents are reviewed, not buried. Risk assessments are live documents. Behaviour support plans are followed. Compliance isn't a bolt-on β it's how we work.
Participants with complex needs get familiar faces. We roster deliberately so the people supporting you are the ones who know you.
Many of our participants have high-intensity support needs β behaviours of concern, complex medication regimes, active behaviour support plans. Our High Intensity Hub is a purpose-built environment designed for exactly this. Structured support, trained staff, consistent rostering, documented behaviour management. A professional support environment that runs to documented plans.
Specialist-designed space at 901b La Trobe Street, Delacombe β structured, professional, and ready for complex participant supports from day one.
When you call BSS, you don't get a call centre. You get someone who knows your name, your support worker's name, and probably what your participant got up to on yesterday's outing. Every participant file, every roster, every plan review passes through a small, close-knit team β and that's on purpose.

Twenty-six staff. Three locations. 1,400 hours of support delivered every fortnight. We've built the scale and systems to handle complexity β high-intensity supports, short-notice respite, overnight STA, multi-site coordination β without losing the personal touch. This isn't a side hustle. It's our life's work.

All group activities, all respite programs, all holiday trips β fully covered by NDIS plans. No surprise invoices. No family co-payments. No financial stress. Families tell us this matters more than almost anything else, and we've built our pricing model around making it possible.
Ballarat Support Services Pty Ltd is an approved NDIS registered provider. Our registration is current and valid until 20 June 2028, audited against the NDIS Practice Standards by an approved Quality and Safeguards Commission auditor.
We're registered across eight registration groups: Daily Tasks / Shared Living Β· Participate Community Β· Household Tasks Β· Assist-Life Stage & Transition Β· Assist-Travel / Transport Β· Development-Life Skills Β· Group / Centre Activities Β· Assist-Personal Activities.
Behind every shift is a system: 36 documented policies across governance, participant rights, service delivery, and staff management. Incident and complaint management that meets NDIS reporting requirements. Daily shift note monitoring. Continuous improvement registers. Staff training that goes beyond mandatory modules β first aid, medication administration, manual handling, behaviour support, and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
This isn't the exciting part of running a disability service. But it's how we keep the exciting part safe.
The best way to understand BSS is to meet the team.
